I see the garage sales signs are going up all around town. People are recycling their old things so they can buy new things. Not a bad idea, I suppose, and, generally speaking, it's a good deal for everyone.

Well, that got me to thinking. We would be in a terrible fix if God had garage sales! (I see spiritual applications in strange places.) If He got tired of His old "saints" and set them out in the yard with a dime or quarter price tag- cheap enough to make sure they'd sell so He wouldn't have to fool with them anymore - and then went out to buy new "saints" ... you get the picture!

The truth is, God doesn't recycle at all. He makes things new again. Isn't that a tremendous truth? We may get old, worn, broken, or wounded but God won't throw us away or sell us to the lowest bidder. He will make us new again!

If you, at times, feel like you've been put out in the front yard with a cheap price stuck on your forehead - or you're sitting on the curb waiting for the recycle truck - just know this: GOD DID NOT PUT YOU THERE!

So get up and march yourself right back into the arms of the Lord so He can make you new again. You are, after all, PRICELESS!!
