If this is the first time you have received my Minute Message don't be alarmed! Your email addy was probably sent to me by a friend. I hope you'll take time to read this MM and be blessed by it and that you will allow me to keep you on my mailing list.
GIVING SIGHT

This Minute Message is not the usual devotional that I normally email.
Rather, I want to share with you a wonderful opportunity to be part of a unique
blessing to Christians in third world countries. The Lord has placed a project in my path that will give “new sight” to
believers who are not able to read their Bible or any other printed materials.
Blindness is not the culprit. It’s simply a loss of focus due to vision
deterioration. You can help me help them. My special project is the collection of
eyeglasses. The glasses will be cleaned and prescription rated by a gentleman
who will in turn provide them to our Missions Department. Our missions teams
will take them to people in various locations around the world and present them
as a gift from fellow believers in the United States. Do you have any unused/unbroken eyeglasses? Please mail them to me at the
address located at the bottom of this email. You will literally give sight to
someone who will be forever grateful. Many pastors receive my Minute Message emails. If you are a Pastor, will you
please consider asking a group in your church to take on this project. It would
be wonderful if you could mail a shoebox full of eyeglasses to me. Many filled
shoeboxes would be tremendous!! Just imagine your limitations if you need eyeglasses but cannot obtain them.
Without mine, I can’t see to read printed materials so I know your donation will
be a life changing blessing to someone. Please make this an ongoing project for yourself or your church. I will
probably remind you from time to time via my emails. May the Lord bless you for helping. I’ll write about your responses in future
Minute Messages to let you know how the project is doing. By the way, Janet and I have a new motto for you: “May your blessing basket
be full and your trouble bucket empty in 2008!”
I pray the Lord blesses you today.
Warmly, in His love and life,
Roland Scroggins
