I love to cook and one of my favorite cooking tools is the pressure cooker. They are a wonderful tool for the kitchen!  Used properly, they are magnificent.  Fondly, I remember the rhythmic sound of the old "jiggle" type my mother used.  I actually have a couple of those but the one I use primarily is a Fagor brand - a second generation pressure cooker. 

"What has that got to do with the price of cheese?" you may ask.

Well, I was thinking about pressure and what it will do to us.  It has the capability of turning us into mush or making us more tender and flavorful!!

Like the cooker, if the "fire" is right and the pressure is applied properly we will come out "perfect" - to use a Martha Stewart word.

The Lord is a Master "CHEF."  I know you've never heard Him referred to in that way ... but just bear with me for a minute ;)  

Remember the Scripture that says "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12."  AND,  "Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the refiner." Pro 25:4

It's all about fire and pressure!! God's desire is that we be "perfect."  He has no plans to turn us into mush!  He wants us to be tenderhearted, gentle and ...... flavorful.
