THE "SIGNS" ARE EVERYWHERE!!

I believe we are living in the last days – the days just preceding the coming of the Lord. The “signs of the time” are everywhere around us but none so definitive as the present situation concerning Israel.

The loudly proclaimed threats of those who hate the Jewish people, and the nation of Israel, are, I believe, echoing through the halls of heaven.

“Wait just a minute,” I hear some one protest. “Animosity and hatred toward Israel has been going on for a long time!”

To which I respond, “That’s true, but never has an enemy nation been this close to the possession of nuclear capabilities, as is Iran.”

In addition to that frightening truth, this tiny nation of God’s chosen people are surrounded on all sides by militant Arabs who unabashedly broadcast their hatred toward the Jewish people and boast of their eventual destruction.

While the Western world has been “asleep” Islam (Arabs) have propagated the Near East, most of Africa and much of Europe. Although our politicians and mainline news outlets will not speak to this truth, I believe we are in a death struggle with the anti-Christ spirit which has the destruction of God’s people as it’s main objective and world domination as it’s secondary objective.

I decry the moral bankruptcy of our generation, but others have been as bad. I despise the genocidal actions of godless nations who kill at will those they despise, but other generations have seen similar behavior. I am ashamed of the perverse wickedness of governments around the world, but human governments have always been wicked.

Whereas the Bible speaks to all of these conditions as signs of the end of time, it is the little nation of Israel (about the size of Rhode Island and surrounded by twenty two Arab nations) that is God’s true barometer of impending destruction.

It makes no difference what men may think about the Jews – whether they hate them, love them or have no feelings whatsoever toward them. It’s what God thinks about them that makes the difference. And the Bible speaks in numerous places as to God’s opinion and plan for His chosen people.

“What can I do about it?” you may query. Mostly nothing as it relates to world conditions. But, what you must do is make certain that you are ready to meet the Lord. Choose to live your life in awareness of the imminent return of Jesus. No other generation in history could justifiably anticipate His coming, as can we. The signs are everywhere.
